We pray that you’re searching for truth in God and to show yourself approved (2 Tim:15). The journey is not easy; we must tone down the noise from family and friends who claim to have the answer but no reference to show us. Claiming their beliefs were passed down from their parents and relatives, who neither studied nor understood the things which they affirmed, they place the same trap before us.

This week we covered 2nd Samuel 11-13, 15, and 18, in which David fell to temptation and sinned against God. He took Bathsheba, his best friend’s wife, and lay with her while Uriah was fighting the war. When he could not conceal his adultery, he sent Uriah to be killed in the heat of the battle.

We saw that God, while granting forgiveness, punished David for his sin. In 2nd Samuel 12:11-12, we read the following prophecy from Nathan:

Please pray for those have yet to come to the knowledge of God’s love. Many people have hatred towards Jesus and Christians because of the actions of those who are not Christians at all. Scripture tells us that a person who does not love does not know God, for God is Love. (1 John, 4:8)
